Muslim Traveler Tips for Osaka Expo 2025

Muslim Traveler Tips for Osaka Expo 2025

Halal food, prayer spots & what to prepare — everything you need to know before you go!

Planning to visit Osaka Expo 2025? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime event, but as a Muslim traveler, there are a few important things to keep in mind. From limited prayer space to Halal food options, here are some quick tips to help you enjoy the Expo without worry.

🙏 1. Plan Your Prayer Time & Bring Your Own Prayer Gown

There’s only one prayer space inside the Expo.

    • 📍 Located on the East side only
    • 🧕🏽 Fits about 10–20 people
    • 🚶 If you’re entering from the West gate, it’s a long walk — so try to plan your prayer times ahead, especially for Dhuhr & Asr.

💡 Wudhu facilities and prayer mats are available, but no prayer gowns provided, so don’t forget to bring your own!

    🎟 2. Reserve Early — Gate Matters!

There are 2 ways to enter the Expo, and you must reserve your gate & time slot at least 7 days in advance:

    • West Gate (less crowded)
      • Get there via shuttle bus (paid)
      • Good if you’re going with kids or want a quieter entrance
    • East Gate (more crowded)
      • Direct access by subway
      • Closest to the prayer space

👉 Reserve shuttle buses and entry here:

⚠️ If East Gate is fully booked, you’ll be assigned to the West Gate — so plan your trip early!

🍱 3. Bring Your Own Food

Halal food is limited inside the Expo. To stay on the safe side, it’s best to bring your own meal or snacks.

    • PET bottles (e.g., mineral water)
    • Personal refillable water bottles

    ❌ Not allowed:

    • Canned drinks
    • Glass bottles

🥪 4. Easy Halal Meals to Pack

🧂 5. Bonus: Quick Flavor Boosters

Bring small condiments to spice things up:

✨ Last Tip: Bring Small Snacks!
