Shipping policy

    This policy applies to all orders placed through our online shop at japaneid.com.

    Order Processing

    Each order is packed with care right here in Japan. We typically need 2–4 business days to get everything ready before handing it off to the carrier. If you're ordering during a sale or busy season, please allow a little extra time on top of that.

    Shipping Destinations

    We ship internationally from Japan. Delivery options and rates will show up at checkout based on your location. Once your order is on its way, you'll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number so you can follow your package's journey.

    For deliveries within Japan, please note that local delivery is not available on weekends and Japanese public holidays, so please keep that in mind when placing your order.

    Delivery Time

    Delivery timeframes vary depending on your destination and any customs or local postal processing along the way. Please treat estimated delivery times as a guide rather than a guarantee — occasional delays can happen due to factors outside our control.

    Customs, Duties & Taxes

    International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, or VAT set by your destination country. These aren't included in what you pay at checkout and are entirely the customer's responsibility. Since every country has its own rules and rates, we'd recommend doing a quick check on your end before ordering — we have no control over what your local government charges.

    Prohibited & Restricted Items by Destination

    It's also worth checking whether any items in your order are subject to import restrictions in your country, as these can vary quite a bit and aren't always captured in standard carrier guidelines. We'd recommend doing this before completing your purchase.

    If we notice something in your order that looks like it could be flagged at customs for your destination, we may remove or swap it out for something similar to avoid holding up your shipment. We'll do our best to let you know if this happens!

    Delays & Responsibility

    Once your order is with the carrier, delivery is in their hands. We're not liable for delays caused by customs processing, incomplete or incorrect address details, or anything else that falls outside of our control after dispatch. We are also not liable for orders confirmed as delivered by the carrier but reported as not received.
