What is Muslim-Friendly?
Muslim-friendly products are not halal certified, but have been carefully reviewed to ensure they are free from prohibited ingredients and cross-contamination.
Our Selection Standards

No Alcohol Drinks
We only sell products free from alcoholic beverages. Some products may naturally contain trace alcohol due to fermentation, etc. — in these cases, we confirm no alcoholic drinks were used or added during production.

No Animal Ingredients
Animal-derived ingredients do not include seafood, dairy, or eggs. This refers specifically to pork and other non-halal animals — including halal animals not slaughtered according to Islamic law (such as chicken or beef).

Doubtful Ingredients
Commonly identified syubhah ingredients such as gelatin, emulsifiers, and shortening are carefully reviewed and only accepted if their plant-based or vegetable origin is verified.

Safe From Cross-Contamination
For products on shared production lines, we verify that the line is properly cleaned and confirmed free from non-halal ingredients before production.

Certified by a Japanese halal certifying organisation.

MF1 — Muslim Friendly 1
All syubhah ingredients verified by our Muslim staff, including sugar, colouring, and flavourings.

MF2 — Muslim Friendly 2
Syubhah ingredients cross-verified by our Muslim staff. Sugar and colouring are deemed acceptable unless otherwise stated on the ingredient label.

Check Labels
We examine each product based on the ingredient label that comes with the packaging.

Contact Manufacturer
For any syubhah ingredients or cross-contamination status that remain unverified after checking the halal scanner apps (mainly Halal Japan)— or if the product is not found in the apps at all — we reach out directly to the manufacturer for confirmation.
